Al Rabee Al Akhder’s journey started in the year 1980, in a small and humble way, in Mosul city in Iraq. Hajji Akram Ismail Ghazal established his first trading company, dealing with general items, spare parts and various kinds of tires. Initially Firestone and Sumitomo tires were traded. His hard work resulted in expanding his business all across Iraq, by opening number of branches.

Later in 1991, his son Haji Bassam Akram Ghazal, being a visionary, foresaw the opportunities in starting business in UAE, which is the hub for imports and exports. He realized the potential of Dubai and other emirates, with their strategical and locational advantage, by connecting the East & West of the globe.

Under Haji Bassam’s able leadership, Al Rabee Al Akhder was established in the main business district of Dubai for trading Tires, Tubes, Batteries and Automotive Lubricants. The company made a fortune in trading Triangle brand tyres. Later, it’s focus was on Kumho, Marshal from Korea and Ornet brand tyres from China.

When Haji Bassam’s brothers joined him later, in around 2010, the business got further fillip! With concerted efforts and focus, the family developed business and they never looked back!

They started a shipping line for ease of doing business. With that, they could ship tyres in large quantities to Iraq, their motherland, at will! Now they own 4 midsized ships, that can carry 100 containers each.

Focus from TBR business predominantly, shifted to PCR also. They moved to the largest showroom in Dubai in the main tire market. Branch in Sharjah was also started. Chinese brands like Kapsen, Wosen were added. With the proliferation of business, they caught the eyes of Apollo, which offered them distribution in many parts of Africa.

Business expanded to Qatar & Oman! Kumho company, with whom Al Rabee Al Akhder had a long, intense relationship, wanted to support and offered an exclusive brand ZETUM. Al Rabee invested on moulds and became a partner with Kumho. This set another milestone in Al Rabee Al Akhder’s journey.

Office in China was opened for closer follow up of shipments. New brands of repute like CEAT, PrinX and Ralson were added and business saw many new heights!

Al Rabee Al Akhder is further visualizing growth, with discipline, focus and willingness to adapt to the changes, despite all odds and uncertainties in the industry. Recently in middle of 2025, they added two more feathers in their cap, Trazano brand from ZhongCe Rubber & Milever brand from Wanli Tires.
